God created the law of need: if the earth did not need sun and rain sun and rain would not be. In the same way if were peacemakers the peace offerings would be unnecessary.
Healing of our bodies comes because we need it, just as we need food and drink to sustain our bodies.
[Philippians 4:18-20] But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
There was no need to murder Abel, for malice and hatred is no a need. Noah offered a sacrifice because of all that did evil and perished in the flood.
Abel sacrificed for himself just as Cain did. [Genesis 4:3-4] (…) Cain brought an offering to the LORD of the fruit of the ground. (…) Abel, on his part also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions.
1. Answer: If a hunter kills just to kill the law of need is missed, it's sin.
If an animal is killed for "fun" that's evil. But of an animal is killed to sustain a life then the law of need is satisfied.
However, no killing would be required if we were peaceful, we would not need meat/protein. But we are not an Island we live with warlike people and in a warlike land.
Prophet Isaiah said. [Isaiah 6:4-5] (…) “Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.”
Manna in the wilderness could have been enough, but the Kenites amongst the Israelites wanted meat. [Numbers 11:5-6] “We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlic, but now our appetite is gone. There is nothing at all to look at except this manna.”
God satisfied the need even their grumblings.
2. Answer: If a hunter kills just to kill the law of need is violated. It is sin.
[Genesis 9:3-6] Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant. Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood. Surely I will require your lifeblood; from every beast I will require it. And from every man, from every man’s brother I will require the life of man.
Verse 6 (Explains why?) Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God He made man.
Unnecessary bloodshed comes from man's violence and when animals are slaughtered NEEDLESSLY it is then on our account.
That evil deed is written in the Book of Remembrance. (Exodus 32:32 & Malachi 3:16)
THE POWER OF REPENTANCE & A COMPLETE CHANGE
That book is kept unless one fully repents, (like I did and all that was committed before I was born in my family tree on my account - e.g. I did not walk in their sins - has been blotted out from the book, which God wrote.
Even that I killed the little duckling when I was just 7 years old, I repented for it with many tears. Once I killed a raccoon, but a Pastor and his family ate it. I also killed an alligator. Others ate it too. Then, I killed two birds through my shooting practice. I felt so bad I trembled while holding that precious dead bird in my hand. I also repented for it. I remember it, but God does not anymore.
Ever since then I never killed anything... perhaps a spider, the need was that they like me. Recently at Esther's a spider bit me on my arm to this day the wound is still healing.
The Law of Need.
Only the voices of the shed innocent blood cry out for justice. Not those who died in the process of killing others like in a battle. (That's how I understand it)
Abel's sacrifice was already accepted by God and Abel was righteous, hence innocent by the time Cain killed him.
Any animal sacrificed to God was also eaten from Noah on.
Today. We are guided by the verse emphasis on ONCE AND FOR ALL.
[Hebrews 7:26-27] For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.
This effectively terminates all sacrifices and rituals in that regard. What's left is the law of need.
